You Can Dress Us Up But You Can't Take Us Out

Sure this is supposed to be a Wordless Wednesday post but it needs the back story to appreciate the photos.

Let’s go back into time, way back, back to 2004. I was a young girl getting married for the first time, worried about how photos would look to my grandkids one day. I had a rule, no pictures of me smoking or drinking. My dad walked up with a beer and I was very thirsty. I grabbed his beer and my god father yelled smile for the camera. The result of that photo you can see below.

It became a joke that you could dress me up but can’t take me out.

So here we were I am now divorced and engaged to Tobei when we head off to see my best friend get married. My best friend insisted we restage the photo from that wedding “many” years ago. Result…. well see the photo.

Now we arrive at May 3rd, 2014. It is the day I marry Tobei. My best friend stands beside me as my man of honour. Well we can’t resist this photo opp.

I present to you my Wordless Wednesday photo.

You can dress us up but you can't take us out
