Last week was March Break and we had the oldest visiting us for a few days. I decided to fill up those days by visiting museums. The last musuem we decided to visit was the Canadian War Museum. We pulled into the parking garage and our first mission was to find the exit to get into the museum. Once we found that our next was to find a parking spot. We drove past your typical handicap parking spots then I saw a sign and yelled at Tobei “PARK THERE”.
These spots were right beside the handicap spots so pretty much prime parking. I thought it was so cool that they had parking reserved for veterans. Of course this led to me explaining to the oldest that dad is a veteran. I was ok with this though as I too when I think veteran I think of grandparents who fought in the World Wars. That is not so, people our own age and younger are veterans and in time I hope society realizes this.
