What does Blissdom Canada mean to me? One would think that would be an easy question to answer. I mean I guess it can be, I can say everything. But that would not explain exactly what is so awesome about this amazing conference or tell YOU why you should attend.
Mabel Bliss Party Blissdom Canada 2010I did not get to attend in 2011 as I was pregnant with Little Brother who made his arrival on October 31st. I did attend in 2010 and found my love for all that is Blissdom and I will be there in 2012.
So what does Blissdom Canada mean to me?
Blissdom Canada means friendship. I formed some amazing friendships at Blissdom Canada and met some pretty awesome people. It was so nice to finally get to be face to face with the people I had come to know online and consider my friends.
Blissdom Canada means feeling part of a community. Everyone makes you feel welcome. I remember walking up to the table where the founders of Blissdom were sitting and thanking me for everything I had done with the twitter list (I put together a list of twitter names of all attendees every year so everyone can connect) and taking the time to chat with Cheryl and I. They were not “the founders” in that moment, they were other women wanting to connect. It didn’t stop with them. I can name many “big name” people in the blogging world who I would be star struck by yet they were so welcoming with open arms and did not make me feel “little”
Blissdom Canada means networking. I guess this goes in part with the above. But believe it or not people are willing to share their stories and swap information. You never know, you new best friend or business partner can be at Blissdom Canada just waiting to meet you. Want to work with brands for reviews and ambassadorships. You can bet they are there with the purpose of wanting to meet you and work with you.
Blissdom Canada means learning. There is so much information and knowledge shared at Blissdom Canada that it is impossible to not learn something. Take advantage of every learning experience that you can.
Blissdom Canada means Bliss. I found my Bliss in 2010. I left feeling like what I do matters, that I had something to share, people who cared and that I love what I do. I came home renewed and refreshed.
I could probably go on forever about what Blissdom Canada means to me and how amazing it is. Since we all lead busy lives I will leave it at my top 5.
I can not wait to attend this year and hopefully I will get the chance to meet YOU.
Are you attending this year? If you are leave a comment and let me know so I can look out for you. Also make sure you on the twitter list so we can all connect before during and after this amazing conference.
