Post 2 – Getting All Bride and Groomed Up
Now on to the BIG moment, the Ceremony.
I had it all planned out, myself and the bridal party were walking down the aisle to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. At exactly 3:32 I was going to make my big entrance. The girls made their way down the aisle and then it was my time. I had no idea if I came out at the moment I planned because at that point in time I didn’t care. I just wanted to get down that aisle to the man of my dreams. I may or may not had even told the photographer to get the F**K out of my way as he was blocking my path trying to get a good shot of me. Thankfully he is also a good friend of mine.
The second thing I had planned on was not looking at anyone or anything when I made my grand entrance except at my groom. Everyone talks about the grooms face at THAT moment and well I wanted to witness THAT moment first hand. Mission Accomplished and I was so happy. His reaction brought a huge smile to my face and was the perfect moment. Lucky for me my friend Sarah caught it on camera as well.
I would like to say the ceremony was perfect but I would be lying. I had put together parts of different ceremonies that I found online and sent it off to the officiant 3 weeks before the wedding. It was PERFECT, described our lives and our road travelled together perfectly. I was all set to have the room in tears. Well, unfortunately, the officiant SUCKED and stumbled his way through the entire ceremony. I was not impressed but nothing we could do. Thankfully people still got the gist of it all and there were some watery eyes but the effect was ruined.
The bright side he couldn’t screw up our vows since we said them ourselves and that is the most important part of the ceremony.
Our vows did the trick and brought on the waterworks. They were perfectly us. I hope to always remember them and as part of that, I am sharing them here with you.
My Vows
My love, You have already given me the two greatest gifts of my life: your love, and our beautiful children. Today, it is my honor to become your wife. I promise to continue building our family together, celebrating our joy, comforting one another in hard times, and strengthening our family’s future. I vow to love and cherish you for all the days of my life.
Tobei’s Vows
You are my once-in-a-lifetime, my miracle. May our lives intermingle and our love grow as we become one. You are all I could ever need in my life, my friend, my lover, my everything. I promise to be faithful to you, to love you, hold your close and cherish you for always and forever.
Awwww so sweet. Love them!
As with normal protocol next came the exchange of rings.
Then the moment I know I was waiting for. THE KISS! I did hear my dad yell at us to get a room lol
After we signed all the legal paperwork it was time to pronounce us husband and wife.
