Yet another headache because I swear I don’t have enough of them these days. I need to get a new travel system stroller for when baby #2 arrives. One would think this should be an easy task. Especially because I am so easy going. However it is NOT. With the travel system we had for Little Man I was not thinking of anyone but myself when I bought it. I am 5’0, Tobei is 6’1. That is quite the height difference and left me being the only one capable of pushing the stroller. Tobei couldn’t push it because he was too close and would have to either take really tiny steps or step on the stroller. This time around I am making sure he can push the stroller.
We went out shopping today and decided to have a look at strollers. Of course every travel system one was the same deal. He could not walk comfortably and push it. There were strollers that had adjustable handles which would be ideal for us. However they did not come with the car seat. With these kids you had to buy the baby car seats seperately. Well I am sorry. But I do not feel like paying $450 for a stroller and then another who knows how much for the car seat. I am not made of money.
What I did fall in love with today were the jogging strollers. For example the Schwinn Turismo swivel double jogger looks pretty cool and while playing with strollers today I learned how easy jogging strollers are to maneuver. I even thought with a double stroller since Little Man is still less than 40 pounds it would be great to house both kids. I don’t think Little Man will go do it though. Also there are no travel system jogging strollers.
Luckily we still have 19 weeks before this one is due. Hopefully by then we will have found the perfect stroller for our family without having to go bankrupt. I never thought buying a stroller would be this difficult.
