Meet one of my very few best friends. Her name is Sam. You have heard about her before though at the time she was nameless when I wrote about how it’s never too late to say sorry.
Kind of a bad pic as it was the night of her birthday a few years ago but a good pic overall of the two of us.
Oh yeah, the story, Already Tobei is glaring at me for the title of the post. Suck it up buttercup, life married to a blogger.
Sam came to visit us Thursday to bring over some movies for Big Brother. She noticed that A) I was sick and B) Tobei was exhausted as Little Brother had him up partying all night.
So she decides to offer to take both my boys for the night. There was one problem though, we didn’t own a playpen. I put a call out to the community I live in and within minutes I had someone offer up a playpen.
Sam left to go pick her kids up from school and we started packing the boys up. While we were packing Tobei looks at me and says “I could totally kiss her right now”. Lucky for me I knew it was just a figure of speech.
We dropped the boys off at her house and headed home. Want to know what we did with our night of freedom? I promise it is PG rated.
We ate Harvey’s without a baby crying for attention and arguing with a 4 year old to eat his dinner. Then we watched American Idol, Biggest Loser and The Vampire Diaries without any interruptions. Finally at the stroke of 11pm we were in our beds and snoring by 11:15.
It was a glorious night and we are so thankful for our friends.
