My family LOVES pancakes. I swear if they could eat them for every meal every day I am sure they would. So on Valentine’s Day I was going to make pancakes for dinner. Tobei got super excited about it. I then spent 2 hours scrubbing my house and slightly rearranging the living room. I had decided I did enough work for that day. So Tobei made me my favorite meal instead (steak, mashed potatoes, cream corn). He has not stopped asking for pancakes though.
Last night he comes home from work and getting right to the point he says “So… You making pancakes tonight?” Fine! He wins! I will make them pancakes tonight. I mean really it’s quick, easy and delicious. So I go make the pancakes and I am telling you they were perfect. Not one pancake ruined from trying to flip it early. Perfectly golden brown, not a burnt spot anywhere to be seen. I even got smart and used a pyrex dish and lid to keep them hot. In fact they were still steaming when brought to the table.
Go to grab syrup and butter and HOLD UP!!!! There is no syrup!!! What the heck is that? Looked high and low in the fridge and the cupboards and NOTHING! I could not believe it. Just 2 days ago Tobei had eggos. Did he not realize that the syrup was empty considering he threw it in the garbage? So Tobei said he would go to the store and buy some. I said no because dinner would be cold and ruined by then. So instead we enjoyed our pancakes with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. Oh yes that was healthy. NOT! But it was really good and that is what counts right?
