Well it seems I have yet to talk TV on my blog. I got big plans in the works for that. However I also got about 1,000,000 other things in the works as well right now. I need to prioritize and well expanding the blog is getting put on the back burner. I got more important things to do like figure out how to get a sponsor for Blissdom Canada. So in the mean time we will talk TV right here where you are used to seeing me write. This will be a long one but a quick one. I am going to try to jam everything into one post as an introduction. You can also find me over at my blog frog community discussing these shows. I hope you will join me as I look forward to having others to talk to about the shows that kill my brain cells and take me away from blogging.
So lets start this post of introductions to the shows I am currently watching and looking forward to. All times given are of course EST.
Currently Watching
True Blood (Sundays at 9pm on HBO)
I am hooked on this show. It all started with the Sookie Stackhouse Books* which led to me watching the show. In some ways the books are better and in other ways the show is. I think I am going to love this season. Seems to be based on the book Club Dead* and I loved that one. Can’t wait to see how they decide to incorporate it in to the show. I have one question to ask that seems to be the big question when it comes to True Blood. Eric or Bill? Come discuss.
The Gates (Sundays at 10pm on ABC)
We are only on episode 2 of this new series and I am hooked. I hear complaints on forums I am on that there seems to be too many storylines to follow. I think they are just trying to get us familiar with all characters and what their history is. I am sure in a few more episodes they will start focusing on the here and now and it will be easier to follow for those who are having a hard time. What do you think of this show so far? Have you even watched it? Let’s talk about it.
Other shows that I just don’t feel like posting pics for because I am lazy that way.
The Bachelorette
(Mondays at 8pm on ABC)
I don’t even know why I am watching this show. I hate Ali. Can’t stand her. When she chose her job last season over Jake I was cheering. They could not get her whiny pathetic little sobs off camera fast enough. Then being the sucker for punishment that I am, I tune in this season. Why do I do this to myself? I even know how it ends already. I have known since the beginning who goes home, when they go home, what the dates are and who is on each date. Have to love Reality Steve for his amazing bang on spoilers every season. Don’t click the link if you don’t like spoilers.
I was shocked by last nights episode. Not by the fact that Justin has TWO girlfriends back home and that Jessie and the main girlfriend called Ali. I knew all that (thank you Reality Steve), I was shocked that they showed it first thing in the episode, made the last hour and a half kind of boring. Even Tobei tuned in to watch the build up and suspense of Justin’s demise and it was over before it even started. I wanted more drama dammit.
Army Wives
(Sundays at 10pm on Lifetime)
I have been hooked on this show for 2 years now. When I first started watching it they were already on season 2. Thanks to the internet I was able to quickly catch up. This show is what I call my guilty soap opera pleasure. I cry almost every episode. I can’t help it. It hits close to home for me. I watch it on Mondays once Tobei is home so I can lock myself away without distractions to watch it. Did you know this show is actually based off of the book Army Wives: The Unwritten Code of Military Marriage* by Tanya Biank. I just found this out a few months ago. I have since ordered the book, read the book and enjoyed it and am now trying to find it to mail to a friend so that they can read it.
Shows I Am Looking Forward To
Big Brother
Premieres Thursday July 8th at 8pm on CBS
Season 12 here we come. I have watched this show religiously since Season 1. It is one of the things on my why I love summer list. Can’t wait to start discussing it and reading spoilers off the live feed. I can’t be bothered to sit here and watch them waiting for drama but I do go to Joker’s Updates to read what is being posted about the live feeds. Am I alone or is anyone else with me on looking forward to the new season?
Bachelor Pad
Premieres Monday August 9th at 8pm on ABC
Not sure what I think of this show but I am looking forward to checking it out. The description on ABC says:
The series begins with 19 of the most unforgettable characters from seasons past living together in the Bachelor Pad mansion. Each week, they’ll square off in head-to-head challenges to compete for immunity and the opportunity to go on a date with the contestant of their choice. The winner of the challenge will then grant immunity to one of his or her dates via the presentation of a rose.
I am thinking ABC got fed up of past contestants throwing their own parties together and hooking up without letting ABC cash in on all the drama.
So I believe that is about all I have to say on my little TV must watch list for now. Don’t forget to come over to my Blog Frog Community to discuss the shows. I look forward to having others to talk to about them.
