You often hear people talking about the “nesting” stage of pregnancy. It is supposedly where you go crazy cleaning your house and preparing for baby. For me my nesting stage consisted of sleep. This mom knew she would not be friends with sleep for a long time so got it while she could. OK I may have wanted my house cleaned but I just put Tobei on that then went to sleep. My friend however totally nested. Her room mate came home to find my VERY pregnant friend standing on a counter cleaning the top of her fridge with bleach.
While Sears wants to help you with the nesting stage with their Newborn Nesting Event. Time to finish getting that nursery in shape before baby comes along.
The Newborn Nesting Event is currently running and ends April 4th. How does the event work you ask? If you buy $250 (before tax) worth of nursery must-haves (including cribs, furniture, gliders, and nursery decor/bedding) you’ll receive 15% back on a cash card! This cash card works similarly to a gift card, so you can come back to The Baby’s Room for any last-minute additions to your nursery until May 31! For those shopping in Edmonton, you’ll receive 15% off at the point of purchase, instead of a cash card – so let’s get shopping!
Wondering what you can use that gift card for you. I got a great suggestion for you.
The Summer Infant Video Secure Monitor! With my first son I had a typical audio baby monitor. Being paranoid I would often sneak in his room to check on him. This would wake him and obviously was not a good thing. From the recommendation of a friend of mine second time around I bought the Summer Infant Video Secure Monitor and I will now recommend it to everyone. Baby quieted down and you want to check if they are sleeping. BAM hit the button on top to turn on video and see if baby is sleeping or not. Got a toddler and want to check if they are in their bed? Again, turn on the monitor. Seriously add a video monitor to your must have for baby list.
Happy Shopping and Best wishes. Remember the first year is about survival, sleep when you can and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
