Saying Good Bye to Elf on the Shelf

Christmas has come and gone and so has Jangles our Elf on the Shelf. He had some fun his last week with us.

From riding on the train…

To having story time with other toys….

To having a bath in fruit loops…

We were so glad he enjoyed himself spending the month with our family. However Christmas Eve came time to say good-bye. We woke up on the morning of Christmas Eve and found Jangles with a letter to the family sitting on our couch.

It read;

Dear Big Brother and Little Brother,

I have had so much fun being a part of your family for the last month. You guys sure have a lot of fun around here. Sorry for any messes I made along the way. Guess I got caught up in the fun too!

Tonight when you go to sleep,  I will have to say goodbye.  I will fly back to the North Pole with Santa when he visits your house. When you wake up tomorrow morning I will be gone and presents from Santa will be under the tree. I know there will be presents, because I have told Santa all about what good boys you are. I passed on all of your messages to Santa and I know he will do his best to find the perfect presents for you.

Lucky for me and you, Santa will lift my magic for all of today, after you are done reading this letter. For today, you can touch me and play with me, and I am allowed to go on any adventures you have, including the car!! just don’t play too rough with me, because I can still get hurt. When the clock strike 9 pm and you are finished with your goodbyes just put me back on the shelf and I will find my way to the North Pole tonight. Can’t wait to see you next Christmas season!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love,
Jangles

We were sad to see him go. Big Brother said he was going to miss him a lot. However it was great to be able to spend our last day with him actually getting to hang out. It was a great time and we can not wait until next year.
