This mom has connections to Santa and I love it.
Yesterday while Little Man was eating his lunch he asked if we could call Santa. Crap! What do I do? I called my mom and asked her if any men were at her house. The answer was no but my Aunt was there and she offered to pull off the best Santa that she could. She was amazing. I could hear “Santa” talking to Little Man and he sounded legit to me. Little Man told Santa he wanted candy for Christmas and that he has been a good boy this year. We then let Santa go as he had to get back to work preparing for Christmas.
It made Little Mans day. He was all giddy and kept saying “I talked to Santa”, it was amazing. I love having connections to the big guy in the red suit. Even better was that this phone call was followed by nap time. Of course Little Man did not want to nap. That’s cool but I told him I was going to phone Santa’s elves to pass a message on to Santa that Little Man was not listening or napping. This little threat was followed by 2.5 hours of silence as Little Man slept.
Do you want to connect with Santa?
Call Santa: I had a relative play Santa and so can you. Even a friend or a neighbour. If you don’t have anyone who can play Santa or if you child is old enough to know that the number you dialed is Grandpa there are many services available to either call Santa or have Santa call you. I don’t have any to recommend but a quick google search of “Call Santa” brought up many different services.
Video from Santa: Bell Sympatico offers Magic Santa. You can visit the website and enter some information about your child. When you are done Santa will e-mail your child a personalized video. I have used this service the past 2 years with Little Man and he loves it. The look on his face when Santa appears and says “Hi Little Man” is priceless. I highly recommend you check it out.
Write to Santa: Visit Canada Post – Santa’s Corner where you can e-mail Santa or get more information on writing to him. Don’t forget to include a return address as Santa and his elves do write back.
