When I was planning Big Brother’s 6th birthday I knew I wanted a custom cake. So I went on the search for a Ottawa custom cake maker. This was no easy feat for me. I am used to just walking into Loblaws and ordering a slab cake and having them write Happy Birthday on it.
Through one of my facebook groups I came across a lovely lady named Alaina who had started her own Ottawa custom cake company called Simply Delicious Treats. I reached out to her and told her all I knew was my son wanted a rollercoaster cake. Within minutes she had sent me all kind of ideas off of pinterest. She told me whatever I chose would be all edible and hand made. I picked the cake I wanted, the problem was budget. I had no idea what this would cost me. She worked with me and within my budget.

What I loved the most about Alaina was her concern for customer satisfaction. A few days before the big day she messaged me to confirm my cake choice and double check for allergies. I told her we would prefer chocolate but we did have a kid attending who is allergic to chocolate. She replied promptly and told me not to worry. She had a order for vanilla cupcakes to do up so would send one along with my cake. I thought that was amazing and so sweet.
The cake was delicious. Everyone was commenting on it. I swear it is the first birthday where we did not have leftover cake because EVERYONE wanted some, some had seconds. She was always in touch, made sure to have all the details and delivered promptly. I look forward to having more cakes from her in the future.
