What do you do when you have home products that are old or just no longer needed? Sometimes you need to just donate them or toss them in the trash. But there are some items that can be turned into something pretty creative with very little effort. A metal cookie sheet has many more uses rather than just baking chocolate chip cookies. Here’s 3 ideas of what do with an old cookie sheet.
Make a busy sheet
Since most cookie sheets are metal, they make perfect magnet boards for travel. Just add a little magnet to any pictures or attach the magnets to the bottom of some little play characters and you have a perfect busy board for travel. You could even raid the refrigerator and bring along the magnetic letters so the kids can practice making words while they ride.
Hang it up for storage
Drill a small hole in the back so you can hang it on the wall. Paint it a pretty color and then use it as a magnetic memory board. This is a great place to attach your to-do notes or grocery list. Why clutter up the refrigerator?
Give it to the kids
Do your kids love to play with bakugons or other toys that use magnets? This is a perfect battle arena. Or cover it with chalboard paint and let the kids write notes, messages or decorate it. Or just let them use it as a hard surface to keep some LEGO bricks contained while they build on the living room carpet.
Attach a big clip on the end and they can use it for their school supplies. I know one mom strung a piece of yarn through the end hole and tied on a pencil so the kids could pretend to be a secretary or waiter using the hard sheet and a pad of paper.
The possibilities for an old cookie sheet or only limited by your imagination. Hop over to pinterest and do a quick search and I bet you will come up with even more creative ways to use a cookie sheet. What will you use it for?
