Winter is one of the hardest times to be a parent in my opinion. In the spring we can send the kids to play in puddles, summer we have the beach and fall we have leaf piles to jump in. Winter may be great for snowmen and snow angels but there are so many days where it is just too cold to go outside or at least for long periods of time. So what do you do with all the energy that your kids have? Especially when they are home all day as they are not yet in school or it is a day off for them.
We bought a Kinect. Hey don’t judge too quickly. It is wonderful and Little Man loves it. I can turn on a game on the Kinect and lose him for hours as he jumps, kicks and turns all around the living room to play the game. Hide and Seek is also huge in this house. It usually gets played for about an hour when Tobei gets home from work. Tobei is good at finding hiding spots but the dog always gives us away. We have also gone to indoor play places but that can add up when it comes to the wallet and if the roads are horrible home is the safe place to be.
Always a staple in our life Disney does not let us down. Once again the clever folks at Playhouse Disney have come up with another fantastic show to add to their programming. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mickey’s Mousekersize launched today on Playhouse Disney and can also be found On Demand and at Playhouse Disney Online (for PHD channel subscribers).
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mickey’s Mousekersize encourages healthy lifestyles for toddlers and their parents. All kids or at least all kids I have met love to dance. Mickey’s Mousekersize gets you up, dancing and moving around while having a great time and creating memories. I am very much looking forward to adding Mickey’s Mousekersize to our lives and my toolbox of things to do inside on a cold or rainy day.
Disclosure: I’m part of the Playhouse Disney Mom program and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.
