It is Thursday again which mean’s it is time for our daily dose of writer’s workshop over at Mama’s Losin’ It! The prompt I am going to use today is Memories of Mom in honor of my mom and Mother’s Day coming up. I was going to go visit my mom this week-end however plans fell through. I know she is upset I am not coming but hopefully this post will make her smile.
I have many memories of my mom and am having a hard time picking just one. So many keep going through my mind. The one I would have to pick though would be the Mother’s Day we spent at the farm. I bought one of those books where you fill in memories together and we spent the week-end filling it out and remembering all the good times. It was a very low key, relaxing week-end and I enjoyed it very much.
My mom still has the book and continues to update it as we make new memories. I am glad we have this book as in 50 years when my mom is no longer with us (my mother will live to 100 because I said so), I will be able to still have all the memories that we shared together. I will be able to just open the book and smile while looking back on the moments my mom held dear to her heart.
I know I cheated a bit with this prompt and you all probably wanted some huge post of the best memory of my mom. However like I said there are too many to choose from and I could not pick just one.
