I had to post and share. Today Little Man brought home his first school artwork. It is proudly hanging on my fridge and is now proudly being shown here on my blog. I was all awwww and giddy when I pulled the artwork out of his school bag. Time to buy magnets and clear off room on the fridge for all the artwork to come in the coming years.
He made this one last week at school but didn’t bring it home until today. I remember Tobei telling me about it. The teachers gave them little sponges and told them to paint people. Little Man was the only one who painted people instead of spreading paint all over the paper. Of course I was too giddy over the artwork and the great job to notice until now something really cool. Do you notice what color paint he used? Purple!! Mommy’s favourite color.
Then today they made silly faces. Like my magnet? There was another button where you see the glue but it fell off between school and home.
I love my artwork. I can’t wait to see what else he makes this year and brings home. My little boy is growing up and he reminds me daily. Every time I call him “Mommy’s Little Boy” he tells me “No Mommy I’m a big boy” all proudly. I am sad to see him grow too quickly for my liking but I am loving the new experiences that come along with it. Motherhood is a wonderful gift.
