March 4th was a fantastic day for us. As mentioned in another post we are moving.
Tobei was all smiles when he got to be the conveyor of that wonderful news to me. I don’t think either of us will forget how I reacted. I saw him with a folder and right away was curious what it was. He smiled and said it was our posting message. I got a huge smile that I could not stop as I called him a liar and ran to grab the folder from him. Of course it was a posting message. The last thing Tobei is would be a liar. I just could not believe it was true and that for once we were catching a break. I called my mom and yelled into the phone “MOM! I’M COMING HOME”. I had to yell it three times before she clued into what I was saying. Then she started yelling it to all my Aunts and my Uncle who were there visiting her. I think the whole building she was in knew from everyone yelling that I was coming home.
However now the fun starts. We all know that moving is stressful. There is so much to do. Heck I won’t lie, we still have boxes packed from when we moved here. Now is the time to sort through all our crap. What clothing fits, what doesn’t? What toys can we get rid of? What rooms do we want stuff in at the new place? We will have movers and I will be pretty pregnant so want them to put stuff in the proper rooms right off the bat. What do we need to disconnect at the old place and reconnect at the new place? The list goes on.
How will I remember everything and make sure nothing is forgotten? How will I sleep at night without making lists in my head worried I will forget them? I have come up with a solution. The company in charge of our move gives us lists to help us keep track and have a schedule leading up to the move. I am going to be super smart. I am going to print and apply them to the magnetic board in my office. This way they will always be in front of me and I will know what I need to do and when I need to do it. I bet you any money I will still be stressed and worry I will forget things. However I am sure it would be worse without these lists in front of me.
