Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner? It’s time to get ready for the holiday, even if it is last minute. In my opinion, there’s always something that needs done right up to the very day! Here are some of my best tips for staying sane while accomplishing those last minute Thanksgiving chores.
Start Cleaning Now
Instead of waiting till the very day of Thanksgiving to clean, I start cleaning about a week or so before the big holiday. This means I clean one big room a day until everything is accomplished. I do not like being stressed out about cleaning, so this is my way to solve the issue.
Prep the Food the Day Before
There are no rules that say you have to get all of the cooking and baking done in one day. That’s why I do a lot of the food prep the day before, this means I don’t have to get up incredibly early the day of. I do things like cut the potatoes, so all I need to do is boil them. I’ll also boil the eggs to help speed up the process of deviled eggs.

Ask for Help
If you’re having people over, don’t be afraid to ask for help. I try to have everyone bring at least one side disk to help make things a lot easier. This also gives me less things to do! It’s nice for everyone to pitch in to create a fantastic meal that everyone can enjoy.
Keep Things Simple
In a day of Pinterest, everyone is trying to create one amazing Thanksgiving dinner. With my best advice in mind, keep things simple. Everything does not have to be perfect because people are coming to your house to enjoy each other, just as much as the food.
