It is the time of year many Canadian bloggers look forward to. Blissdom Canada has arrived and we all descend on Toronto to meet new friends, reconnect with our friends and find our Bliss.
Getting ready to drive the Chevrolet Camaro at Blissdom Canada
I am not going to lie. Last year as I attended Blissdom Canada 2012 as a community leader I was ready to quit blogging. I had lost my voice, lost my drive and no longer had love for blogging. In fact I left Blissdom Canada thinking though I was always a devoted Blissdom girl I may not be back in 2013.
Thankfully about 4 months ago I found my love again. I am sure you may have noticed personal posts becoming more the main type of posts around here. This is my new focus. Yes I will still bring you great reviews of some fabulous products but I am no longer a product review blog as my main focus. I never even intended for that to be my focus but it happened.
Today is the end of day 1 of Blissdom Canada. I am so happy I have returned. I am still a 100% devoted Bliss chick and I am finding my Bliss. We had an AMAZING interactive and inspiring keynote by Eric Alper. We even had a few sing alongs led by Matt Dusk.
There were great sessions throughout the day that inspired me and reminded me why I do what I do. The main theme I found ringing through out the day was to find your voice and never lose it. That and write every day. You don’t have to publish but at least write something. Writing helps us improve our craft and find our creativity. Something that stuck with me today was “If you are human, you are creative”. We are all creative, you just need to find your creativity.
The most moving session of the day though was the social etiquette workshop. That session deserves it’s own post. I will get that to you when I am back home next week. It was very moving, gave us all a huge gut check and had many of us in tears.
I am so happy to be here at Blissdom Canada. I am truly finding my bliss and the Bliss Chicks have done an AMAZING job at bringing us a fantastic conference.
