We are starting to get a little more creative with our Elf on the Shelf antics around our house. Started off with The Elf Story movie arriving Wednesday that I had ordered thanks to the suggestion of Chris over at Canadian Dad. It seems that while Big Brother was at school Mommy and Little Brother fell asleep for a nap. While we were sleeping Jangles set himself up by the TV with some popcorn, a candy cane and the Elf Story. Big Brother thought it was pretty awesome that Jangles brought him a gift from the North Pole while he was at school.
I guess since Jangles brought us a movie and Big Brother was starting to get used to him he thought he could start acting up. Thursday morning I forgot to take a picture but he got into the Rice Krispies and made a mess of my table. We woke up Friday morning to find him making sugar angels on our counter. He got a stern talking to that day about making messes in my house.
Saturday and Sunday morning he thought he would behave and play with the toys instead. I was starting to worry Sunday morning as it looked like he was rallying the troops to cause some trouble. I guess we woke up in time to stop that fiasco.
I think he may be back to good behaviour though. This morning we woke up and found him with the dish soap. I think Big Brother woke up too early (5 am WTF) and put a halt to Jangles doing the dishes. That or who knows what trouble he was going to get into with the dish soap. I don’t even want to think about it.
