48!!!!!! That is the magic number as of today. The Disney countdown is on and I am like a kid counting down to Christmas.
I have been a very busy lady planning the trip. I have a feeling I over planned but that is ok. I am totally aware that I have young children and we may have to take unscheduled breaks, ends days earlier and probably won’t see everything. I rather have a full plan though and not get it all than have unplanned times and be overwhelmed with our options.
Our Home Away From Home
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness
Originally we were going to stay at an All Star resort since those are the most economical. However we are a family who likes our space and do not like to be cramped. We go stir crazy in a hotel room together. Since the kids are only 7 and 2 (turning 3 at Disney) we know we will be spending more time at our home away from home than those with older kids.
The cabins allow the kids to have a room to go to sleep in while we have time to relax kid free and prep for the next day. They are also equipped with kitchens so we plan to have groceries delivered and have breakfast before heading out each day. My kids wake up before the sun sometimes and they get angry quick if breakfast is not in front of their face shortly after waking up.
The Parks
Figuring out how many days and which days we would visit each park was exhausting. I finally have it figured out and refuse to budge since now our fastpasses and dining reservations are made.
Day 1 – Arrival Day, nothing planned as we get in just past their bed time.
Day 2 – Animal Kingdom
Day 3 (Halloween) – Nothing during the day. We have tickets for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party so plan to arrive at the Magic Kingdom around 4pm with our costumes on. Really hoping the kids make it through the night. We do have a stroller rental for the week for Little Brother.
Day 4 – Noon start at Magic Kingdom. Writing off the morning due to the late night planned for the night before.
Day 5 – Epcot
Day 6 – Magic Kingdom
Day 7 – Hollywood Studios
Day 8 – Morning and early afternoon at Epcot. We then plan to hire a sitter and take the evening at Epcot ourselves. After all this trip is our honeymoon so we deserve it. Boyz II Men is playing that night at Epcot and I am super excited to see them.
The Food
I didn’t even know where to start making reservations to eat. Thankfully my friend Robin from Masshole Mommy is a Disney addict so helped me out by suggesting their favourite places to eat while at Disney.
How do these sound to you if you have been to them before?
Animal Kingdom – Tusker House Lunch
Chef Mickey – We have this scheduled for 10am the day after the Halloween party.
Epcot – Royal Akerhus Royal Banquet dinner
Magic Kingdom – The Crystal Palace Lunch
Hollywood Studio – 50’s Prime Time Lunch
Hollywood Studio – Hollywood and Vine Dinner (Not happy with this one as I am told it is not a character meal only breakfast and lunch are)
Epcot – Got a package that includes dinner at Rose & Crown and reserved seating for Boyz II Men. I am trying to change this package though to Coral Reef Restaurant instead though as it looks like such a cool atmosphere.
I am not sold on my Hollywood Studio choice. I also want to get a Be Our Guest Dinner reservation if a miracle happens and I find one. But then I have to give up another meal due to all my table service credits being used for the dining plan. That is probably when I will drop one of the Hollywood Studio meals.
So what do you think of these plans? Any suggestions? Must see or do attractions?
*Disclaimer – Yes I have made you aware of when we are travelling. However I will have house guests while I am away watching my home for me.*
