How To Date on a Budget

If you do not have much money to spare or if you are saving up for something special, you do not have to miss out on dating. Here are some great ideas that you can use so that you can still enjoy dates out with your loved one without breaking the bank.

Sign Up for Coupons

There are lots of online sites that offer discount vouchers for a variety of things. Instead of having to pay full price, you can enjoy a day or an evening out for less. A very popular website that gives out a range of offers every day is Groupon.com. If you register with this site, you will receive a daily email. This mail will list all the special offers that are available.

You could choose to purchase a voucher for a meal for two, a day at the spa or a night out at a bowling alley. Find the activities that you would normally like to do or take the opportunity to try something new. Most of these vouchers have an expiry date but there is usually plenty of time for you to plan in advance.

Go to 2 for 1 Nights Out

If you want to go out for a night of entertainment, then take a look at your local listings and you will find that many places offer a 2 for 1 deal. You can find movie theatres, comedy clubs and plays that offer cheap tickets for their events.

Some venues also have evenings where you can pay what you like. This can be a great way to get out of the house and do something fun together, even if your budget is severely restricted.

Make Date Night at Home

The cheapest date that you could possibly organise is a date night at home. All you need is a child-free environment, a selection of DVDs and some popcorn. If your parents live nearby, they are sure to be happy to look after the grandchildren for the evening. If this is not possible then organise for your children to have a sleepover at their friends house. You could repay this favour to the other parents by having their children stay over at a later date.

Now that you have the place to yourself, you can decide to share a night of DVD watching. Or you can share a romantic home-cooked meal or a romantic bath together. Your date night at home can be whatever you want it to be. As long as both partners are happy with the choice, then you will have a successful and expense free evening together.

Dating does not have to be over just because you do not have any money. Be a little creative and you could have some fun nights out and make really enjoyable memories.
