Last night Tobei and I went to see Dane Cook. To put it in as few words as possible it was amazing! It did start over half an hour late which was annoying considering the guy sitting behind us was some big talker who thought he was all that.
The biggest annoyance though was the no camera policy. Well you could have a camera if it was a crappy point and shoot. However we have a canon rebel and they would not let us bring it in. I had to leave it in the car. It kind of reminded me of something Scott Stratten said “If you don’t want to sign books, don’t become an author”. Made me think if you don’t want people to take your picture then don’t become famous. I was a tad moody over having to leave my expensive camera in the car. Need I remind you that I live in Canada and winter is quickly sneaking up on us.
Once the show started the big talker shut his mouth and I got over not having my camera. We had amazing seats and laughed from start to finish. Oh.. have to share this. So someone offered Dane Cook a loonie (Canadian Dollar) to tell a story and then someone yelled at him to take his shirt off. He said if there was over $100 on the stage he would do it. I am surprised he did not get injured with all the loonie’s and toonie’s that were thrown on the stage. There was well over $100 on the stage yet he never did take his shirt off. I guess he is just like the guy sitting behind us…. a big talker.
If you like comedy and you like Dane Cook’s style I would recommend you go see him live if he comes to a city near you.
I was not compensated in anyway to write this post. I paid for my ticket out of my own pocket and just wanted to share with you my experience.
