The new year is here which means I go into panic mode with our budget. My biggest stress when it come to our budget is groceries. We are total convenience people which means we buy things that are quick and easy and require not much actual cooking. Our main meals are pasta, chicken and rice, and canned stew. Not exactly excited to eat meals or all that healthy on the health scale. Then when we get sick of those meals which is about twice a week we order take-out. Worse thing ever for a budget.
So last week I redid our budget for the new year. That included removing take-out from our budget and putting a limit our the amount we spend on groceries. I had Tobei remove both the Tassimo and Keurig from our kitchen. Too expensive for this family on a budget. Now the only thing on our counter is an actual old-fashioned coffee maker. Tim Horton’s is gone except for as a treat. This mom is on a mission as you can see.
So how exactly do I plan to keep groceries under control? How do I plan to add some excitement, taste and health to dinner every single night? Let me introduce you to eMeals.
Every week emeals will provide me with everything I need to keep our grocery budget under control and great recipes to add some new meals to our menu. They provide you with the meal for each day, the recipe and instructions to make it and best of all they provide you with the grocery list. So you don’t even need to make a grocery list. Just print off the one they give you, cross off what you don’t need as it is already in your house and run out and do your groceries. The only way it would be any simpler is if they provided you with a personal shopper and chef.
We will be doing groceries later this week and I am excited to utilize the emails service. You can sign up today and save even more money with their current promotion New Year, New You Save 15% with code “NEWYEAR” on eMeals – Exp 2/10/13.
