Welcome to my slice of heaven on the internet known as Nolie’s Place. My name is Nolie and I am your friendly sometimes opinionated Canadian blogger. We have a full house over here with me, my husband, my 2 crazy children, my mother and 2 fur kids.
My children are 15 and 10. The 15-year-old is your typical teenager. Full of attitude and never leaves his room unless in search of snacks. The 10-year-old is the one who keeps us on our toes. It tends to get blamed on his ADHD.
Postal (the husband) and I have been together for 15 years and married for 8. We didn’t want to wait so long to get married but we had obstacles to overcome like hunting down his elusive ex and getting her in one spot to sign the divorce papers.
We are the proud fur parents of Naulla, a rottweiler/lab mix who we rescued in January. Also living in our home leaving his fur everywhere is my mom’s dog Echo, a blue merle chihuahua.
Blogging Life
I had been blogging here for 9 years before I retired the site and let my hosting expire to go offline and deal with personal matters. I had many wonderful experiences thanks to the blog. I was a community leader in 2012 at the best blogging conference north of the border known as Blissdom Canada.
I was brought under the wing of Susan from 5 Minutes For Mom as I learned more than I could ever imagine about the world of blogging and social media. I even got hired on as their virtual assistant for a year. Sadly I had to leave that job at the same time I retired the original Nolie’s Place.
I had the great pleasure of working with amazing companies such as Kinder Suprise, Cirque Du Soleil, Chevrolet, Feld Entertainment and reviewing Disney releases both in theatre and on Blu-Ray.
What Now
So what can you expect from me now? Honestly, the same thing I gave you all before. It is going to require a lot of hard work on my end to reestablish myself so thankfully I like hard work. I am an old-school blogger and that is not going to change.
